The International Festival of Fashion & Photography in Hyères, to take place for the 30th time from 23 to 27 April 2015, recently published its shortlist. Amongst the ten shortlisted photographers is Dutch photographer Sjoerd Knibbeler (1981), who was represented by LhGWR at Unseen Photo Fair 2014.
The renowned jury selected 10 photographers from more than 700 entries for the final competition: Jeannie Abert (France), Sushant Chabria (India), Wawrzyniec Kolbusz (Poland), Evangelia Kranioti (Greece), Sjoerd Knibbeler (The Netherlands), (David Magnusson (Sweden), Filippo Patrese (Italy), Thomas Rousset (France), Polly Tootal (United Kingdom) and Oezden Yorulmaz (Germany).
The shortlisted photographers will present their work to the jury during the festival weekend (23 to 27 April), and exhibit their work at villa Noailles in Hyères until 24 May. The festival encourages and supports artists in the fields of fashion and photography. Previous winners of the photography prize include Dutch photographer Anouk Kruithof (1981), represented by Boetzlaer|Nispen at Unseen Photo Fair in 2012, 2013 and 2014; and Lorenzo Vitturi, Unseen's 2014 campaign photographer and represented by Flowers Gallery and Kahmann Gallery at Unseen Photo Fair 2014.
